Abby's foray into food has been quite an adventure. We're finding out there isn't much she doesn't enjoy, although she doesn't eat large quantities of anything, expect meat. She is a big carnivore and loves protein. Eggs, steak, chicken - she loves it. She also enjoys berries, carrots, avocado, basically anything she can feed to herself. I've started playing with giving Abby a spoon so that she can eventually start feeding herself when we introduce yogurt and oatmeal and such. For now, we are just giving Abby all types of food that we are eating ourselves and she's loving the adventure. I, on the other hand, am not enjoying the mess self-feeding creates, and we pretty much eat and then move directly into the bath tub.

It's great that you are confident enough to let her try real food right from the start. Are you sure you two are first time parents? Haha!
