Our beautiful little girl turned one month on March 12. This month has flown by, but the days have crept by so slowly.
This month, Abby has got incredible control of her neck, she is quite strong now. She has managed to poop all over Mommy and Daddy and the carpet - one epic day requiring 3 diapers, a change of clothes for Mommy and Abby and a bath. Abby had some problems getting enough nutrition in the early days of nursing (loosing 14% of her body weight!), but I think we are close to 10 lbs now! I also think she's grown a couple of inches, as she's grown out of newborn sized clothes and diapers (but just barely!). Abby also has increased her sleeping times at night - we are now closing in on 6h of consecutive sleeping during the night. But it means during the day, she's feeding about every hour and a half. She has always been fairly attentive, but now she really enjoys tummy time and looking at things around her. She's even started to bat a toys.
Abby loves her swing and we put her in it to give us some time to eat or shower, etc. Dustin and I are slowly learning to interpret her cries to figure out exactly what she needs. Abby is a good girl and doesn't really cry much, except when she needs to poop or is tired. She loves to be bounced on the ball - it puts her right to sleep. It's our secret weapon at bedtime.
Our little girl has certainly captured our hearts - we can't wait to see what next month will bring. Hopefully, it will bring less pooping all over!
