Woodstock Tri

Triathlon season has officially started!

Dustin competed in the Woodstock triathlon the Sunday after the long weekend. Craig also competed and this would make it the third time the guys have done it, in three years.

It's a great opening race, as the swim is in a small lake, so it's usually warm-ish, and the bike and run are pretty nice, but technical and difficult enough to figure out what you need to work on to improve your triathlon season.  D made some rookie mistakes (it's a lot harder to get out the door on time now that we have Abby!), but that's what the season openers are for - to work out the kinks and get ready to train hard for the rest of the season.

Abby, Lindsay, Alyssa, Zach, Adam (Lindsay's brother) and I cheered the guys on.  D had an amazing swim - all the time spent in the pool this winter is starting to pay off.  Now, he has to transition from racing in the pool to racing open water!

So, we had a good time.  Abs was great, as usual and we had a nice day.  Luckily, the weather wasn't too warm, so I could keep A wrapped up and out of the sun.  The goal is a VERY white baby by the end of the summer (no sunscreen allowed until 6 months; good thing we have the big stroller!!).

Next up is the Binbrook Triathlon (near Hamilton), which happens next weekend.  The summer is already starting to book up!  Happens every year!

Abs and her Aunt Lindsay.

First out of the water (between Craig and D), D heads out on the bike course

Craig made up time on the bike - first into T2 (transition 2 = from bike to run)

Not long after, D's in from the bike.

The two A's (Abby and Alyssa) conversing in secret!

L and I joke, that when you are the photographer, it seems as if you were never at the event - so photos to prove we were there!

C checking to see if D is close behind him.

D giving it - all the way to the finish.

Z's so used to being the baby - I don't think he's too sure about this little human!

Post-race discussion - always happens!  Takes longer to discuss the race then run it!

Why is Z crying: Linds didn't let him run onto the tri course!

Ab showing the love for her Dad!

Oakville Harding's - proud of our D!

Oh Craig... Even Z looks unimpressed!

So much going on in this photo... I laugh every time I look at it!

So cute!  Pure happiness on A's face!

McCulloch Family Photo!

We all love Z's shirt!!

Too bad they live so far - cause, Al would make a great babysitter!
