Abby and Mom go to Florida

At the end of May, Abby and I packed our bags and headed to Florida to spend a week with Grandy and Grampy.  We had a wonderful time.  Of course, Abby and I were spoiled rotten.  We were able to get out every day for a swim or to the beach.  Abby loved riding the waves at the beach in her new floaty.  Abby even tried her hand at golf.

We had a lot of fun taking Abby to the beach.  She loved it too.  It took a while for Abby to get used to walking on the sand, probably because she wasn't as stable on it as she is on firm soil.  But once Gramma showed Abby how to dig in the sand and make sand castles, she was in heaven.  Of course, she had to taste the sand once or twice too.  The Gulf was so warm, it took only a second to get used to, but once you were in it was beautiful.  Going to the beach ended up being an awesome way to spend a morning.  We'd leave after breakfast, spend a couple hours at the beach and be home for lunch and a nap to avoid the hot afternoon.

Road side attractions in Florida - a Moooo!

Of course no trip to Florida would be complete without a tour of the neighbourhood in the golf cart.

"So, I hear you can drive this thing without a drivers licence!"

Abby was fascinated with all the wildlife around Gramma and Grampa's house. 

Abby was a bit of a Grampa's girl while we were visiting.  She would love to bring books, or Grampa's newspaper to him and ask to sit on his lap so he could read to her.  But the two were best buddies the whole week.

Abby's grown a lot since the last time we were in Florida!  Up is when we went in November and down is this past trip in May!

We miss having fun filled days with Gramma and Grampa and can't wait to see them again!

Let me tell you how grateful I was that the TPA airport had a play area for A to get her wiggles out.  Because it meant as soon as we were in the air, she was OUT!
