Lil Miss Mischief

As Abby is becoming more mobile, she's starting to realize there is an entire world out there for her to explore and get into.  We've had to rearrange some of our furniture and computer cords, as she frequently will bypass toys in order to reach something she's not supposed to get.

One of the first skills Abby learned in her adventures with crawling, was to pull herself through our coffee table.  It's quite funny when you are sitting on the couch and this little face comes through and looks up at you.  Abby was so excited with herself when she figured out how to pull herself through - getting down on the other side, on the other hand, was a little more difficult for her.  But, after a few falls, and a few times just turning around, she finally learned how to navigate her way through.

Oh, hi guys!

Abby giving Dad and Mom "kisses" - or sucking our nose and chin.

So, Abby's play-mat is basically redundant now.  I am starting to miss the day I could place her on the blanket and go to the washroom and return to find her in the same place.  That's no longer an option!

New mobility means Abby sometimes finds herself in surprising situations (like under the chair).

We have to be very careful about what we leave on the floor now, or what falls onto the floor, as there is very little floor space of our condo that isn't within Abby's reach.

Exploring under the table (probably towards D's computer cords)

Ya, those movies are now boxed up and away

Hmm... paper - oops, guess Mom forgot to pick that up

And Dad forgot to pick up his magazines

For some reason - probably because it's bright orange - Abby loves our roller.  She's quite cute investigating it (looking inside, rolling it), but I think her favourite part of it, is EATING it.

Finally, a calm moment with her books

Abby's advancing so quickly, she's decided she wants to start driving already.  I think D is excited to let her take over on the drives to London.

So - I'm a little late getting all these photos up - as I can write an entire part 2 about her further adventures in mischief and movement (so, look for that soon-ish)!
