The Harding Family Adventures: Lil Miss Mischief, Part 2

As I mentioned earlier, Abby has become quite the mover. Not only is Abby crawling properly, she is pulling to stand. Apparently, there are many perfectly hight pull-up locations throughout our living space. It all started the weekend of my half-marathon, she learned that she could crouch near her toy basket and pull up to a squat to reach the toys at the bottom of the basket. From there, she learned that her diaper basket, the couch, tv stand, coffee table and bookshelf all make great places to reach up and pull up to standing. And once Abby was up, she was off. It didn't take her long to learn how to walk across the furniture and get from A to B. We also spent an entire night learning how to stand in the crib. While cute at first, it quickly turned tiring, when she would stand up every couple of minutes and cry because she couldn't sit back down. That night, it took 3h, 10+ attempts to get her to lie back down and a good portion of rocking/bouncing to get Abby to finally fall asleep. The next day, Abby and I spend much of the day practising how to sit back down after standing. She is much better at getting down now, and now prefers to sit in her crib instead of standing. Which is also funny, walking in in the middle of the night and finding her sitting and rocking, holding her monkey and soother, too tired to figure out how to lie back down!
